Japanese Garden
As a result of our initial consultation with the homeowner, a Japanese Garden was designed for the entryway and outdated carport area. Since our homeowner traveled to the Orient on many occasions, he had an appreciation for exotic plants. Therefore, we encompassed the serenity of a Far Eastern landscape into the garden design and walkway.
The concrete surfaces of the walkway and carport pad were removed. Pavers were installed in approximately 260 square feet of walkway using the Yankee Cobble Paver in the Harvest Blend with a soldiers’ course in the Quarry Blend.
Plantings for the Japanese Garden, between the garage and home, included a Weeping Mulberry, Red Select Cutleaf Japanese Maple, Koreanspice Viburnum, Koster Falsecypress and a Yellow Lantern Magnolia. The shrubs and plants are irrigated by drip irrigation not by misters for healthier growth and luscious greenery.
