Renovated Deck using Portico Composite Decking
Hartley Bros. Landscaping, Inc., servicing clients from Western Mass and Northern Connecticut, renovated the original deck to this home by removing the worn, discolored, warped, pressure treated boards that became loose over time, created limited use, and became hazardous to use.
Hartley Bros. Landscaping designed a classic and open deck for the client using the original frame boards and new Portico Composite Decking. Portico is made of furniture-quality maple wood flour blended with tough, 100-percent-virgin, high-density polyethylene (HDPE). HPDE is noticeably stronger than recycled polymers. Maple wood flour does not bleach or create stains like oak or pine and it presents an attractive, consistent color all the way through the board. The result of this unique combination is a higher-quality product that is more consistent and natural looking. The renovated Portico deck pictured above is in the Cedar color.
